- Courier delivery can be signature and non signature, which can be chosen based on the security of the item.
- If non-signature service is chosen by the customer, then the courier will be delivered at the safest place or location on demand of the customer.
- If the signature based courier is chosen by the customer, then the courier is not delivered if no one is there to receive the item.
- The courier people call the customer to receive the delivery. If it is not possible by customer, then the courier completes a card with all the details of the delivery item, phone number and the place to receive the delivery.
- The company also tries to redeliver the courier to the customer on the convenient date and time.
- There are some items like Passport, important documents etc which are to be securely delivered to the authorized person. At this point of time, the courier company generally calls the customer that they are going to deliver their item at particular time and asks customer to make them available during delivery time.
- If it is not possible, then the parcel is kept in the nearest courier service centre, and customers can take the parcel from the centre.
